Forgot Raven and Coyote last time. Decided to do fire story for Maui, getting back Thor's hammer for Loki. Not too sure about Anansi yet. Opera rehearsals getting in to full swing now - 3 times a week.

Been thinking about the trickster gods lately - Loki, Maui, Anansi, and so on. I think there could be a good book here, a collection of these stories from around the world.

So, my weekend didn't quite go according to plan - wound up working on Saturday morning till noon, but at least still made it to meet my girlfriend more or less when we'd planned. Milonga was good, small crowd (maybe a dozen), and more guys than girls - still got in a few dances though.
Got a haircut yesterday, happy with it, but feeling colder.
Have also added a list of webcomics I read. I hadn't realised that there were quite so many...

Been very cold here the last few days - haven't been sleeping all that well. No work this Saturday though (managed to get a day off), so will be able to stay in bed for another hour or two and will go to a tango milonga with my girlfriend in the evening.

Adding more to the blog as I go - will put a link up to my World of Warcraft character profile on the sidebar.
Had the first rehearsal last night for the Gilbert and Sullivan opera (Yeomen of the Guard) that i'm going to be in the chorus for; haven't done one of these for a few years, so should be interesting to get back in to it. Recognised a lot of familiar faces at the first rehearsal.
The music isn't too complicated, but the stagecraft is always good to work on.

I finished the Fire Festival midsummer achievement in the weekend playing WoW - man, what a grind. Good money in it though, and another outfit for the collection.

So, this is my blog - I'll try this out for a while, see how it goes...

A little bit about me: male, 29, work in a small newsagent/toystore.
My interests: I play hand drum and other instruments for a bellydance troupe, I do fencing (sabre), I sing in a church choir (classical music), and my girlfriend and I do salsa dancing and tango.

I watch TV, I listen to all sorts of music, I read books (Flashman and the Mountain of Light currently), play World of Warcraft (druid class), and I learn wu style Tai Chi from a retired Chinese man.

So, I thought I'd try making a blog, see if anyone enjoys (or even reads) it; if you do, please leave a comment, OK?
I'll probably update most weekdays - at least, that's the plan...
